Game Drive
Our daily game drives offer you the unique experience to be part of the African bush. Departures depend on your wishes and the number of participating guests. The vehicles are open Game viewers. Hot beverages snacks are served from our highly experienced game rangers.
Bush Walks
Bush walks usually happen in the early morning or late afternoon due to cooler temperatures. They aim to discover the little things, like tracks, signs, insects and plants and will bring you close to the beauty of the African bushveld. Closed and comfortable shoes are recommended.
Quad Biking
Join us for a memorable quad biking adventure trail through the Saragossa Game Reserve accompanied by skilled guides, with the possibility of seeing zebra, giraffe, antelopes and other animal species en route.
Mountain Hikes
The Saragossa mountains provides guests with a 4-hour hike to the ridge and an amazing views of Elands Valley. Closed and comfortable shoes are recommended. A good physical condition is essential for our hikes.
Star Gazing
One of the most spectacular wonders to be seen in South Africa is the night sky and Saragossa Game Reserve is the ideal location to experience it. Star gazing is done at the Saragossa mountain and can also be incorporated on night drives. Although the winter months may be colder, they offer even better viewing as heat and dust are greatly reduced in the atmosphere.
Plant a tree
Why not join us and plant some roots in Africa! We offer you the opportunity to plant your own tree in Saragossa Game Reserve. It will become your personal tree decorated with your name tag. You will leave your personal green footprint on the African continent and support our nature conservancy on the reserve. Imagine a return visit after some years and realizing your contribution to mother nature.
Fishing
The game lodge is surrounded by five well stocked and scenic dams. You are more than welcome to go fishing on a relaxed and calm afternoon.
We have fishing rods available for you at the lodge should you not wish to bring your own equipment. Trout, black bass, catfish and other species can be found.
Scorpion and Frog walks
Scorpions are an amazing pre-historic sub-species of spiders and occur in different families in our reserve. On night walks and drives our guides will discover scorpions with UV torches for you and pinpoint the numerous varieties of frogs around the lodge according to their calls. The chatter of thousands of frogs at night compiles a concert you will remember for a long time.
